Week One: God Made Summer

Genesis 1:31 “And God saw everything he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.”
Summer is a time filled with sunshine, extra family time, and outdoor fun. It’s also a great season to notice and enjoy God’s creation all around us. From beaches and mountains to campfires and trees, everything we see was made by God and called good. God delights in His creation and invites us to enjoy it too. This verse gives us a chance to slow down, notice God’s good gifts all around us, and praise Him for it.

Family Prayer Walk
Gather your family and walk around your neighborhood, a nearby park, or even in your backyard for a simple prayer walk. As you walk, look around and point out things God made that you enjoy and find beautiful. Thank God for the things you see. Pray for your neighbors and community. You can even pray for your own family. Keep it relaxed and fun. You can even spend a few minutes recapping the activity as a family.
