Galatians 5:13 – For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.”
Paul reminds us that because Jesus has set us free from sin, we now have a new purpose: to use our freedom not for selfishness, but for love. Serving others isn’t always easy. In fact, it can be really tough to do when your brother, sister, or friend is testing your patience. Or when you have something else that you would rather be doing with your time. But it’s worth it because it shows the heart of Christ, which is a heart of love. When we choose to help, share, and care for one another, we reflect God’s love in a practical way.
