Snow days can be so exciting. It’s almost an understatement to say my three boys can hardly wait for the snow to arrive! But even with all the fun, these days can get busy and a little chaotic, and it’s easy to let the moments slip by. Today’s Bible study is a simple way to pause intentionally, talk about God’s Word, and help your kids see Jesus at the center of our lives. He is with us in every moment, even on snow days.

Create the Atmosphere: The Snowy Day Hideaway

For extra fun, you can do this study in a special place you build together: a blanket or pillow fort. Grab a flashlight, snuggle in, and make a cozy space to read, reflect, and pray together. Even in the quiet and dim light of your nook, God is with you. This special spot helps slow down the day, makes the study memorable, and encourages kids to focus on the Bible verse and discussion without distractions.

Bible Focus

“Be still, and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10a -ESV

Bible Study

Snow days give us a unique chance to pause and notice God’s presence as they suddenly stop most of our plans in their tracks. They invite us to be still before Him, not in the sense of doing nothing, but in paying closer attention to His character, His power, and His love for us. Being still means trusting God with our day, even when routines are upended, when parents cannot go to work, kids cannot go to school, and plans change in an instant. It is in these unexpected, slower moments that God invites us to enjoy Him and each other, to laugh together, learn together, and see Him at the center of everything, even in the middle of a snow day.

  3. How can we take care of each other while we’re home together?
  4. What’s one good or kind thing we could do today?
  5. How can you treat your family and neighbors more like Jesus today?
