Joshua 1:9 is one of those verses that stands out. God told Joshua to be strong and courageous not because the road ahead was easy, but because God was going with him. Family Devotional
Be Strong and Courageous
Joshua 1:9 – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua had a big job ahead of him. God sent him to lead an entire nation into unknown territory, and it would have been easy to let worry and anxiety take over. But God did not tell Joshua to toughen up and figure it out on his own. He told him something better: I am with you wherever you go.
That is the same promise your kids can hold onto. Courage in the Bible is not about feeling fearless. Courage is all about trusting that God goes with you, even when you are scared.
Read this together before your kids color, or use it as a quick devotion at the dinner table.
