Fall is full of little reminders to slow down and give thanks. This fall leaf Bible craft is a simple way to bring Psalm 150:6 into your family’s day, no matter how young your kids are. All you need is some colored paper and a few minutes together.

Bible Verse

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!” — Psalm 150:6

Psalm 150:6 is a simple reminder that praise belongs to God. A fall craft can become more than just something fun to make when it gives your family an opportunity to stop, notice God’s creation, and talk about Him together.

What You’ll Need

  • Paper in fall colors such as orange, red, yellow, or brown
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Marker or pen
  • Brown paper or cardstock

Make It a Bible Moment

Once your leaf is finished, read Psalm 150:6 together.

Ask your kids what it means that everything with breath is called to praise the Lord. Then take a few minutes to look outside and notice God’s creation.

Let each person name:

  • One thing they’re thankful for
  • One thing in God’s creation they noticed
  • One reason they can praise God

This simple conversation can turn a few minutes of crafting into an opportunity to help your kids see God’s goodness in the world around them.

Talk About It

Fall gives you plenty of opportunities to continue the conversation.

Ask your kids: What are some things in creation that praise God in the fall?

Look outside together at the changing leaves, the harvest, the trees, the animals, or even the crisp fall air. Talk about how creation points us back to the God who made it all.

You don’t need a long lesson. Sometimes a simple question while you’re sitting together at the kitchen table is enough to get your kids thinking about God.
